LACONIA — The Belknap Mill Quilters’ Guild will host a live and virtual lecture at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9. “Soft Protests” will be presented by quilt historian, Pamela Weeks. Pam will share photos that show the history of story-telling and raising social awareness and protest in textiles and quilts. Stories were quilted into bed coverings as early as 1400, and protest quilts go back to 1830.

The Guild is offering this program to the public at the Belknap Mill in Laconia. Non-guild members may register for this class at info@bmqg.org and indicate if you will attend in person or on Zoom. The cost is $5 per person.

The Guild is supported in part by a grant from the New Hampshire Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
