HEBRON — Join Newfound Lake Region Association Watershed Steward Hannah Fleischer for a guided paddle on the Northern Newfound Water Trail, Thursday, June 27, at 10 a.m.Â
Paddlers will meet at Grey Rocks Conservation Area and launch their non-motorized boats to explore the environmental diversity present at the northern end of Newfound, including the mouth of the Cockermouth River and the Hebron Marsh.
Fleisher will also lead a family-friendly exploration of the water cycle at Grey Rocks Conservation Area, Friday, July 5, from 10 a.m. to noon.
As summer heats up, residents will experience all parts of the water cycle, and this cycle plays a huge role in the health of the lake and watershed. A warming climate is changing the timing and intensity of stages within the water cycle, and pollution has an impact as well.
Join Fleisher to explore the steps of the water cycle, how it plays out in the Newfound Watershed, and the ways it can influence water quality, plus make a mobile to take home. Registration is required for both events. Register online at NewfoundLake.org/events or by phone 603-744-8689.
