Tony Felch: Supports Maura Sullivan for Congress on Tuesday, Sept. 8

As a lifelong resident of Laconia, and someone who's spent decades serving this city — first as a city councilor for Ward 6, and for 34 years working alongside small business owners and residents at Integrity Realty — I've learned that talk is cheap. What matters is showing up and doing the work, even when it's not easy.

That's why I'm supporting Maura Sullivan for Congress.

I first met Maura when she visited Laconia last year. She didn't just pass through — she went door to door, small business to small business, from the Colonial Theatre to Daub's Cobbler Shop and beyond. She asked real questions and listened. At the Colonial, she talked about the federal tools that could help close the financial gap on projects like that — projects I know firsthand take vision and investment to pull off. Maura understands what it takes to keep a downtown alive, and she'll fight for our small businesses in Washington.

Maura served as a Marine in Iraq, then served veterans and our nation at the VA and Pentagon. She earned every opportunity she's had through hard work, not connections.

Washington needs leaders who understand towns and cities like Laconia — where families are working hard, small businesses anchor our downtown, and communities need real investment, not empty promises.

I don't endorse lightly. Maura has earned my trust, and I'm proud to support her.

I hope readers will join me in voting for Maura Sullivan on Sept. 8. New Hampshire needs a fighter — and Maura is ready to serve.
