To The Daily Sun,

It's usually windy on trash recycling days, and often trash is blown around. On Oct. 18, it was much worse than normal. Our very large recycling container was blown over and I spent around 20 minutes picking it up before the truck arrived — my timing and their timing were both great. Today (Friday) we got up to find huge amounts of debris in our intersection (Jefferson and Elm) and lots more on our lawn and neighbors' lawns.

Around 10:30 I was working up the energy to go out and start picking it up when I heard voices outside. The City of Laconia had provided two gentlemen and a truck to go around and pick up this loose trash. I thanked them sincerely, and wish to do the same for the city. Thank you for that extra measure of caring. It meant a lot.
