To The Daily Sun,

Maybe this will put an end to this subject once and for all.

As of February 2026, the federal government has officially revoked the 2009 "Greenhouse Gas Endangerment" finding which previously declared that carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases threaten public health. This deregulation eliminated federal vehicle tailpipe emission standards. Along with this ruling there are 13 other states (Alaska, Arkansas, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, South Carolina, South Dakota, Washington and Wyoming) that do not have vehicle inspections. Does this mean all of these states are breaking the law?

I have been told I needed work on my vehicle during an inspection, I took my vehicle to two different service stations to verify the information, and was told I absolutely did not need the very expensive repair on my vehicle. I only drive my vehicle a few miles a week and as a senior on a fixed income, having to pay for an inspection and being told fraudulent information regarding repairs has become a hardship.

Let's settle this once and for all, no vehicle inspections in New Hampshire.
