To The Daily Sun,
Did readers hear what happened on Dec. 7, 1941? A country launched a sneak attack against the United States in hope of obliterating our Navy that was housed in the Pacific. One of our best presidents in history gave the “Day of Infamy” speech which prompted Congress to declare war. Not a great day for the invading country — we ended up dropping two atomic bombs on them. American soldiers died.
Did readers hear what happened on Feb. 28, 2026? The USA launched a sneak attack against a country that we were not at war with, obliteration of their Navy being one of the primary objectives. One of the worst presidents in history admitted to this being his idea, without consent of Congress to declare war. Not a great day for the Middle East as now many countries need to defend themselves because of our aggression. American soldiers died.
I guess that now we will have to stop teaching about Pearl Harbor in our school systems — too many similarities to our current affairs.
