Stephen Conkling: Comments about articles on housing, from the New York Times

The front page article on Belknap County affordable housing by Gabriel Perry makes the statement that the average income ($73,300) deemed required for a 2-bedroom apartment is more than 150% of the median income of $46,511 (shown subsequently). Quick math shows the actual relationship to be a 57.6% difference.

My previous disdain for the New York Times tidbits run in The Sun continues with "Alarm over Trump's pick for defense secretary," a middling example of the universal output of most all the mainstream media usual suspects on the matter. First of all "alarm" or worse applies to all of the prospective picks because they are specifically chosen (and were voted for) to clean out the bureaucratic DeepState blob that, overlapping with the Democrat Party, has hijacked the government to their own ends. Most particularly Matt Gaetz for attorney general is feared because Merrick Garland has shown what can be done if the Justice Department is political instead of justice oriented. The incumbents realize they have legal vulnerabilities.

As to Mr. Pete Hegseth, discounting the obligatory Democrat denunciations, the greatest fear is from the cushy defense establishment, particularly the "woke generals" who he has advocated firing in the latest of his four books. He seeks to shift the focus to merit and competency (helpful in wars) vs. the current Democrat political correctness focus as exemplified by funding transgender operations and drag queen shows at military children's schools. The top echelons (in all government departments) have been promoted on the ideology first basis since the 2009 Barack Obama infestation/takeover; deviously self-fulfilling once readers consciously implement it. By the way, the Pentagon has just failed it's seventh consecutive financial audit, leaving billions more unaccounted for.

"The War on Warriors" was a Times No. 1 bestseller. Maybe the Times authors of the article should read it.
