I really like Lynn Chong. I don’t have to agree with people to consider them my friend. She is the president of our historical society; she does a lot of good in our town; she is kind to animals and people. She is a pacifist. I wish the whole world was made of pacifists. Then the terrorist group Hamas would not have murdered, burned, raped and tortured 1,200 people on Oct. 7, 2023, wounded thousands more and taken 250 innocents from a music festival and from their beds, tortured the ones they kidnapped for almost a year and a half and started a war. Lynn said I live in a dream world. The scary part is that Lynn is (or was) a teacher of college students. I hope none of her students are among the ones protesting at colleges, destroying property and targeting Jews. I believe Israel’s IDF is the most moral army in the world. Yes, they stopped humanitarian aid; Hamas has four months’ worth of food stockpiled which they sell to the Gazans at outrageous prices and use the money to rearm themselves. How many countries would allow “aid” to go to their enemies in war? Israel wants its few remaining people back, both the dead bodies and any that may still be alive and suffering.
The other people who write anti-Israel letters are another story all together, especially the ones who can’t differentiate genocide from self-defense.
