Ruth Larson: Tragic Trump has no advisers willing or able to stand up to him

Is there no bottom to the pit our grifter president will drag us into? After dismantling all programs good for ordinary people and the needy among us, in favor of the power-hungry billionaire class, he has now spread the nightmare to the international scene.

It apparently wasn’t enough for him to embarrass us with the world and with our allies, with his crude and incoherent ramblings and his giving the middle finger to diplomacy.

Already siding with the worst corrupt dictators, Donald Trump has thrown his lot, and ours, with Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu, who has led a campaign of genocide to exterminate the Palestinian people. More recently, Israel started a war against Iran that threatens to destroy the already fragile stability of the region and to spread wider.

Netanyahu, with his superior intelligence and cunning, has played Trump for the bloated fool that he is, flattering and cajoling him into having the U.S. join this mideast war that Americans do not want. It is tragic that Trump has no advisers willing or able to stand up against the insanity.

This country got what it voted for, and worse.
