To The Daily Sun,

United States Sen. Lindsey Graham very recently spoke at an event in South Carolina and was booed by a loud and proud crowd of patriots. I'm sure Lindsey was surprised by this, but I can't say that I am.

For quite a few years now Lindsey has done a lot of talking in typical political fashion. He was going to get to the bottom of the botched Clinton investigation. He was going to get to the bottom of all the malfeasance going on.

And what did he do? Nothing, again in typical political fashion, and the voters who have supported him all these years are taking him to task as they should.

This should be a lesson to all politicians who merely make statements and then refuse to back them up with any real and substantial action. For too long the political class in both major parties have just been able to say what they believe will earn votes and another few years in office.

If South Carolina's rebuke of Lindsey Graham is any indication of what's to come in 2024, there will be more public servants in statehouses and gracing the sacred halls of Congress. A good indication that Congress will get to work instead of creating nothing but gridlock and headaches.

Here's to challenging career talking heads, and their retirements.

As a NH born and raised former Meredith resident who moved to SC four years ago, I would have to agree with your assessment of Sen. Graham. He has shown himself to be the kind of person who “talks the talk, but won’t walk the walk “. One of the reasons I left NH was to live somewhere that has the conservative values that I remember NH used to be known for.
