Rich Tjaden - Silent majority will re-elect the prez, who will carry 40 states

To The Daily Sun,

It's a sad day when a newspaper that should promote freedom of the press is bullied by the fear of ANTIFA and BLM (Black Lives Matter),to the extent that my letter to The Laconia Daily Sun criticizing both aforementioned organizations for their riotous behavior and lack of respect for the common man and woman was denied for publication. Looting and violence in numerous cities gives credence to the mentality of the individuals involved. Black Lives Matter & Antifa are no small group of peaceful protesters, but have evolved into riotous and looting thugs who are well coordinated and funded by people promoting anarchy.

With all the rioting and looting in Kenosha, St.Louis, Minneapolis, Chicago, New York, and 100 days plus in Portland, by these two groups, I find it incredulous that Jane Westlake says the right-wing extremists are more dangerous than Antifa. The videos clearly show the rioting and looting perpetrators. In fact, many of those arrested were on video in more than one city.

President Trump and Attorney General, William Barr, did characterize the agitators as anarchists based on videos. I agree,violence should not be condoned by any one, but the media remains silent when thugs loot and burn down stores whether they are small or large. The mayhem caused by these anarchists is abhorrent, and must be curtailed, if not by the local authorities,then by National Guard.

The 17-year-old, Kyle Rittenhouse was attacked by a mob prior to the killing of two of the attackers. One of the victims grabbed the gun and struck the shooter with a skateboard. There are videos of the incident and a report by a journalist who was following the 17-year-old. When people cherry-pick parts to suit their narrative, they exacerbate the problem. In spite of all the pernicious rhetoric, thrown at Donald Trump, the silent majority will re-elect the P.O.T.U.S. with almost 40 states. Socialism has never worked.
