To The Daily Sun,

Recently taxpayers may have heard another rogue federal judge has blocked the will of the citizens of New Hampshire from terminating vehicle inspections that was to take place on Jan. 31. Rest assure, legislators already have a bill in the works to make this blockade a moot point.

This lawsuit comes from the federal Clean Air Act which NH signed onto about 25 years ago because other state’s pollution was causing atmospheric problems in the entire northeast. NH was never the issue or cause of this pollution, but we have been paying the price for it all these years. So, do not lose hope, there is a work-around coming and it will be going through the government steps faster than readers' have even seen government move before.

This is about money, not about the Clean Air Act or safety. Gordon Darby, who is suing NH and who profits from NH citizens inspecting their vehicles, stands to lose over 4 million dollars yearly. This greedy business believes citizens must pay and must have your vehicle inspected while 36 other states do not inspect their vehicles.

The work-around bill amendment is called “Live Free and Drive” and will do the following;

  • Failure to comply with the Sticker Scheme will be classified as a non-moving secondary offense, removing law enforcement’s ability to pull over drivers
  • Drivers cannot be denied insurance or ascribed fault for failure to comply with the Sticker Scheme
  • The penalty for failing to comply with the Sticker Scheme shall be set at $1

New Hampshire families deserve the freedom to drive without government-mandated inspections that do nothing but drain money from their wallets and waste their time. In NH, we will continue to Live Free or Die.
