Rep. John Sellers: Demand that senators vote to pass continuing resolution

Want the government to reopen? Then demand our two Democrat senators to vote to pass the continuing resolution (CR) that the House passed weeks ago and start caring about the local people of New Hampshire. Call Sen. Hassan at 202-224-3324 and Sen. Shaheen at 202-224-2841 and request they vote to reopen the government by passing the continuing resolution.

The Democrats are denying our local people who are most vulnerable, those with small children and the poor of food and other benefits.

It’s the Democrats that are keeping the federal workers off the jobs.

Democrats say they are for the people, well, actions speak louder than words. Their actions are saying, we don’t care about the people. This is not a Republican issue, Republicans voted to pass the CR several times now.

Just five Democrats voting for the CR will reopen the government and our most vulnerable will be taken care of and federal workers can get back to work and get paid.

Next time you see a letter to the editor stating it’s President Donald Trump’s fault or the Republicans causing this issue, tell them no way. Republicans voted to care for our most vulnerable and put food on the table. Republicans voted to have the federal workers go back to work and get paid.

This has gone on far too long and the people are hurting because the democrats will not play nice and be kind. Let’s start really caring for the people.
