To The Daily Sun,

I’m running for the New Hampshire House in Belknap County District 5 because I believe New Hampshire has something worth protecting.

I left New York after seeing what can happen when taxes, regulation, and government continue to grow while becoming less responsive to the people they serve. I chose Laconia because New Hampshire still values independence, personal responsibility, strong communities, and government that lives within its means. Those principles determine whether families can afford to stay, businesses can grow, and citizens have a meaningful voice.

During my years teaching in public and private schools, I learned that good intentions and bigger budgets don’t always produce better results. Lasting solutions usually begin by listening to those closest to the problem — parents, teachers, employers, and community leaders.

Through conversations with residents and local business owners, I have heard their concerns and hopes for Laconia’s future. The rising cost of living, energy bills, and property taxes are straining families. Parents want strong educational opportunities, residents want safe neighborhoods, and local employers need an economy that allows them to succeed. Young people deserve reasons to build their futures here.

Concord cannot solve every problem. State government can spend taxpayers’ money carefully, keep taxes and unnecessary regulations in check, support local employers, expand opportunity, and protect the freedoms that make New Hampshire special.

If elected, I will listen, continue learning, and work constructively with others to deliver results for Laconia. I won’t claim to have every answer, but I will remember who I work for and remain accountable to the people I represent.

Laconia is my home, and I am committed to protecting what makes our community and state worth choosing. I would be honored to earn my neighbors’ trust and represent them in Concord.
