To The Daily Sun,

As a member of Gilford Got Lunch, I had the absolute honor of attending the Lakes Region Rotary event recently at the Laconia Country Club. Club. They dispersed checks to many agencies that serve the Lakes Region, children and families. We are so blessed to live in an area that truly cares about children, families, food insecurity, inclusion, safety, housing, and so many other Social drivers of health.

The Lakes Region Rotary holds an antique car show annually and this activity supports so many agencies through their good work.

Gilford Got Lunch thanks the Lakes Region Rotary. Financial support like this will allow us to support our families during winter and spring vacations. These are times when families do not have access to free and reduced lunches in school. It will also help us as we begin our planning for next year, when we distribute breakfast and lunch seven days a week for 10 weeks over the course of summer. This past summer, we delivered over 7,000 meals in Gilford and Gilmanton.

The community's support means more than they will ever know.

Again, we are deeply grateful and thankful.
