To The Daily Sun,

"Canned" support I hear for Rep. Chris Pappas becoming Sen. Chris Pappas. Kudos to anyone earning "fighter" compliments now before our Sept. 8 primary, but fighting for a list of Democratic-party, people-oriented values, isn't enough.

We're in a war-uglified time. Unforgiveable  my District 1 Congressman Pappas never recognized the fact of horrifying genocide in Gaza. Decades of Israeli leadership letting farming-Palestinians be harrassed, driven off their farms, killed, preceded the Hamas attack of October 2023. Pappas' shameful quiet links to his accepting AIPAC money, our taxpayer dollars aiding criminal genocide.

Newly, NPR is interviewing the surviving brave and good, gone to Gaza to give medical help. They're my people. On Sept. 8, the good choice is Karishma Manzur. She supports "strict oversight of military aid." She promises to speak out against war profiteering and forced starvation, as in Gaza and now Donald Trump's maybe further weaponizing of starvation in Iran and Middle Eastern neighbors. Manzur's statement ― "Just like Granite Staters, the people of Gaza deserve peace, dignity, and justice" ― the ones who remain, still hanging on to life amid war's ruins, I add.

On my kitchen wall ― a photo of student-age Rachel Corrie, bulldozed to her death in 2003 by a soldier-driven Israeli tank as it destroyed a Palestinian family's home. I support Karishma Manzur, remembering Rachel Corrie's protest and sacrifice.
