To The Daily Sun,

How predictable that Jim Mayotte's letter of Jan. 19 ends with "God bless President Trump," rather than "God bless America." His name-calling will ramp up, I predict, for four years.

The Trump years are about rejection of reality – which is why Trump during inauguration had to slink away and have his own design military-salute. Not in the tradition of our great country, is Trump's impolite and ego-needy departure. Yes, Mr. Mayotte, 25,000 troops were needed to guard the inauguration because Trump's tell-them-lies long enough and they will believe it, worked to make the Jan. 6 attack on our Capitol a negative date in our nation's history, forever. Trump's goons and thugs are a danger.

Thank you to Pres. Biden, that the night before inauguration he held a ceremony of sympathy for the 400,000+ dead of COVID-19. We now have a 52-year-old Arkansas daughter-in-law in that count. Trump never did show sympathy, not feeling it. He shrugged off that responsibility to the American people to keep us safe.
