To The Daily Sun,
For those concerned with how the state's elderly, disabled and injured veterans are cared for at the New Hampshire Veterans Home and who may have been following the recent termination of the home's Chief Financial Officer and her pending appeal before the NH Personnel Appeals Board, here are the publicly available updates on the situation.
According to the minutes of the home's recent board of managers meeting that was held on Dec. 15, the commandant has hired Susan Glover as the new chief financial officer. The minutes, which are publicly available on the home's website prior to being approved by the governing Board of Managers, were prepared by Michelene Robichaud who is an employee and the administrative assistant to the commandant.
According to the decision section of the NH Personnel Appeals Board website under a search for the appellant named Jennifer Doig, there is a document dated Dec. 23, stating that, "On December 22, 2025, the appellant filed a duly executed settlement agreement which provides that the appeals in the above captioned matters are withdrawn with prejudice."
As a result, the case is dismissed but questions remain. Did this settlement agreement involve an amount in excess of $10,000 and if so, does this contract have the requisite approval of the Executive Council?
