To The Daily Sun,

I first met Tom Ploszaj when he came to our home over six years ago. He introduced himself by explaining that he was running for state representative for the towns of Center Harbor and New Hampton. He further stated that he was running to represent the interests of his constituents and not a political party.

Over the past six years, Tom has stayed true to his word. When contacted, he has listened and taken the time to research issues and explain his views thoroughly. For example, recently he voted against party thinking, and voted for one particular bill regarding humane treatment of animals, an issue close to my heart.

In the case of a Constitutional Amendment that was passed overwhelmingly by the House, Tom realized that the wording was incorrect and therefore did not properly reflect the proper meaning of the amendment. He and several others met with House and Senate leadership. It was agreed by all that the Constitutional Amendment would not be voted upon until the verbiage was correct.

Conversely, Tom’s opponent appears to be entrenched in the the local Democrat talking points and will more than likely vote party line. For example, on the Citizens Count website, the survey question was, “Should New Hampshire’s anti-discrimination law allow segregation based on biological sex in some settings, such as bathrooms and locker rooms?” Ms. Amber Schaefer responded, “This is impossible and dangerous to enforce.” It appears that Ms. Schaefer is part of a far left ideology when one looks at the polling, where 92% of Republicans, 75% of independents, and 58% of Democrats oppose allowing transgender boys into girls locker rooms and bathrooms. Please keep New Hampshire values and vote for Tom Ploszaj.
