I was disappointed to see Rep. David Nagel endorse Cinde Warmington. Cinde Warmington is an opioid lobbyist who has served the opioid industry for her entire career. During a hearing on the dangers of OxyContin, Cinde Warmington represented Purdue Pharma and called it a “miracle drug” with “very few side effects.”
To this day, Cinde Warmington claims she was fooled by Purdue Pharma and was unaware of their lies. But the same day Warmington testified, New Hampshire’s law enforcement and public health officials testified about how dangerous OxyContin was. Cinde has been lying to Granite Staters. New Hampshire cannot trust Warmington.
For one of our representatives to endorse Cinde Warmington so openly and publicly, I have to question his own judgment. I hope Rep. Nagel will reconsider his endorsement.
