Kenneth Bowers: Sen. Maggie Hassan is on the wrong side of the people

Sen. Maggie Hassan is arguably on the wrong side of the American people.

During the fall of 2023, she was in China for several weeks meeting with diplomats. Did readers have an opportunity to listen to her thoughts at a forum following the trip? Did taxpayers have an opportunity to to ask the senator a few questions?

Probably not, but they will pay for this extraordinary trip. President Donald Trump makes an effort to create a better financial arrangement with the Chinese government. Meanwhile, Sen. Hassan has nothing positive to say in terms of the Trump administration.

Sen. Hassan saw the terrible Afghanistan withdrawal. She saw it when President Joe Biden told Vladmir Putin that it was a minor incursion in Ukraine. Sen. Hassan saw it when President Joe Biden removed America's sanctions on Russia's Nord Stream 2 natural gas line. Sen. Hassan saw it when Syria's President Bashar al-Assad crossed the red line by using chemical weapons against his own people. Sen. Hassan saw it when Putin took Crimea and Georgia with impunity. Sen. Hassan saw it when President Biden put obstacles in front of Israel to confront Hamas. I could go on but the basic fact is that Sen. Hassan has continued to do nothing other than than continue her blind allegiance for short sighted Democrat principles.
