To The Daily Sun,
As the Nov. 3 election approaches, voters in our community face a stark choice for state representative. The Democratic slate offers a concerning mix of higher taxes, single issue platforms, and lack of clarity, while offering very little in the way of real solutions for working families.
A look at the candidates reveals a troubled platform. Lois Kessin has offered no concrete solutions for our economic challenges, proposing instead to raise taxes on already burdened residents. Marcia Hayward seems to operate on a single-minded platform, focusing entirely on putting more money into schools without explaining how that spending will be managed or funded. Further left, Denise Riley is actively pushing ideas aligned with the Democratic Socialists of America, which move far beyond mainstream community values. Finally, Eric Hoffman remains explicitly undecided on so many critical issues that voters are left guessing where he actually stands.
We cannot afford leadership that relies on higher taxes, experimental ideologies, or indecision. Our community needs representatives who are committed to fiscal responsibility, economic growth, and practical governance. For these reasons, I will be casting my vote for the Republican candidates on Tuesday, Nov. 3 to bring balanced, common-sense leadership back to our state. Vote Mike Bordes, Cody Pfaff, Tim Minor and Paul Rossi.
