To The Daily Sun,

I recently read where the MAGA group in Congress want to change up the pension program for our civil servants as a way to cut expenses. This is probably a good thing. Give them a program like the 401k or 403b used in the corporate/nonprofit world. They could start with themselves. Members of Congress earn $174,900 annually, from Day 1, after 20 years they are eligible for a pension of $59,000+, so maybe a 20% to their pay and pension. Ditto for the executive branch as well. Senators also receive $3.3 million each year for staff, representatives get $900,000. The executive branch pretty much unlimited, Joe Biden had over 100 advisers while president.

Will Congress do it? Highly unlikely. Oh they also average 156 days in session.

Good leadership starts at the top, which, again, like his first term, we are not seeing. I'm just mad because I'm not getting a free plane too.
