CENTER HARBOR ― Leanne Gladle was presented with a Hometown Hero Award on Feb. 9, at The Mug Restaurant for opening not only her heart, but also her establishment, to Abigail Sharman and her family during one of the most trying times of their lives. On Jan. 31, Gladle hosted the ABBYSTRONG fundraiser to help support Sharman and her family with the unforeseen medical expenses that come with her cancer diagnoses. Gladle’s generosity, compassion, and willingness to stand with this family exemplify what it truly means to be a hometown hero.
