To The Daily Sun,

We’re supporting Kurt Webber for New Hampshire State Senate in District 2 because we’re tired of politics that puts party over people. Kurt is a leader of real character, an Eagle Scout, a West Point graduate, and a retired Army officer. He spent his life putting people first, serving the nation and our local community, with several years on the Gilford School Board.

Our current senator, Tim Lang, has voted a straight party line on issue after issue, from stripping local towns of their say over data centers to supporting HB 1815, which reduced state aid to public education. Not surprisingly, Lang then voted against a bill to invest more money into all the local school districts in State Senate District 2. That's not representation; that's an agenda.

We want a senator who will stand up for public education and put this district's interests first. Kurt Webber will do that if elected on Nov. 3, so I urge all residents, regardless of party, to vote for a man who puts people’s needs over party loyalty.
