To The Daily Sun,
We need strong leaders in Concord who care about their constituents and will defend their rights. That’s why I have decided to run for the New Hampshire House of Representatives. I have served on the New Hampshire Legislative Youth Advisory Council for over three years, working with legislators to draft and advocate for bills across the Granite State, and I want to keep going.
I first got into public service to protect individual rights. Schools that should exist to teach and serve students and parents have often stood in the way of their academic success. From restricting and fear-mongering school choice, underserving our special needs students, and blocking freedom of speech and expression, I saw all of these issues in my own school experience at Winnisquam, and my peers always came to me to ask for advice on what to do about them. To best serve my community, I became an advocate for my fellow students at the state level through the Legislative Youth Advisory Council, which I have chaired, working with legislators to protect parents’ rights, expand school choice, and bring civics back to the forefront of education. I also fought hard for religious liberty and freedom of speech, helping prevent a constitutional amendment to tax churches and helping to pass a bill to protect college students’ speech rights on campus.
Representing Franklin and Northfield, I will fight for the issues that matter most to our home, ensuring the needs are best heard in Concord. My family has lived in this community for generations, and I will represent our neighbors' best interests by protecting our rights and everything else that makes New Hampshire great.
