Two guys steal pork chops from a butcher. Later, the butcher realizes what happened and sics the law on them. Guy one says, "You got me," then gives the chops back. Guy two denies it. The law must use standard legal procedures to recover the chops. Neither guy refrigerated the pork chops. All were fully rotten upon return.
The crime in both cases is stealing. The rest of the incidental details really don't matter.
For Biden and Trump, the deal with their classified documents is the same: the incidental details don't count. The crime of illegal possession is identical in both cases. And, like the chops, improper storage means the documents are compromised. For example, the government can only assume that any sources mentioned therein have been exposed.
Anyone should be able to commiserate with Trump supporters who see a discrepancy in treatment. Some transparency into the ongoing Biden investigation is needed, along with a timeline of when closure can be expected.

What a complete load of illogic babble. The details do indeed matter and of course is the sole reason you claim otherwise.
The crime was not in accidentally taking the alleged documents, but in lying about it and trying to hang on to them. Surely, even a Trump supporter can see the difference. You'll need a better deflection than Hunter Biden and his drug problems; oh wait a minute he's not running for anything.
I see the intent that Trump refused to turn over the documents to the Feds not once but on several occasions Trump was given plenty of time to turn over the Documents but instead lied to the Feds more than once .Trump deliberately hid the Classified documents ,Trump moved the Documents more than once to illude the Feds from finding the documents. President Biden and VP Pence immediately returned the Documents upon finding them. President Biden and VP Pence invited the Feds to search their homes and offices immediately without hesitation. Trump is a Man child that cannot play nice with others. To not see the difference between stealing "sausages" and not only hording the documents but showing off Highly Classified Documents to impress visitors is really a stretch to far to equate the 3 incidents as the same crime.
