Having attended the water department’s public meeting regarding a rate high in water prices, it is curious the water department should realize a $350,000 increase over the next year. I did confirm the increase would not be retroactive to the current billing period. The realized increase suspiciously matches the monies spent to resurface South Main Street. I was disappointed that no other residents attended the 20-minute meeting.
