To The Daily Sun,

I was surprised when I saw the Tuesday and Wednesday papers. When did the Laconia Daily Sun start replacing news with political opinions on the front page? Aren’t there plenty of local news items that deserve front-page coverage? Is the Laconia Daily Sun endorsing Chris Pappas to be New Hampshire’s next U.S. Senator? I’m OK with the paper supporting a candidate, but that shouldn’t be treated as front page news. I read The Sun to get local news, and I get to see plenty of opinions by reading letters to the editor. Whether written by a local reader or by a Laconia Daily Sun reporter, these “stories” don’t deserve to be treated as news ... they belong inside with other political opinions.
