How much is a trillion? One trillion seconds ago nobody on the planet could read. Now consider that our federal government is $36.7 trillion in debt. That's over $320,000 per taxpayer. This is the legacy we're leaving for our grandchildren. I find it astonishing that so many letter writers are inclined to whine about this or that government service that is being cut back. It would be laughable if the circumstance wasn't so dire. People. We just don't have the money. What part of that is so hard to understand?
