To The Daily Sun,
On Columbus Day of this year, the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire tweeted out the following message, “Please take a moment to be thankful that Europeans displaced American Indian savages. Happy Columbus Day.”
Was I surprised? No. This is the same official account which posted, “Legalize child labor. Children will learn more on the job site than in public school.”
How about this NH Libertarian Party doozy, “Anyone who murders Kamala Harris would be an American hero.”
Last Christmas Eve, the NH Libertarians tweeted, “If someone gets cancer and can’t pay for the treatment, then they should die.” Ho ho ho, and a Merry Christmas too, buster.
Christmas reminds me of the perennial favorite film “It’s a Wonderful Life” which shows an alternative world where good souls like George Bailey (Jimmy Stewart) are not present and a darker side of mankind takes over. The dark side where empathy for others is non-existent and a survival-of-the-fittest mentality takes control of society.
Can’t pay for health care? Then someone dies.
Don’t want to pay for public education? Starve and eventually shut down public schools.
Want to go to college? the cheapest bet is to leave New Hampshire.
No support for the arts.
No investment into our own people.
Money is all we care about so dismantle all support services.
That is the epitome of Mr. Potter and Pottersville. This is what New Hampshire is becoming under the Free Stater/Libertarian control of the present NH Republican Party. Project 2025 is turning our country and state into Pottersville. Sadly, there is no George Bailey to save us. To save our state and our country, we must all become George Bailey.
