To The Daily Sun,

As the Nov. 3 General Election approaches, voters in Belknap House District 5 have a clear choice for proven, common-sense leadership. I am writing to strongly urge my neighbors to cast their vote for incumbent Rep. Mike Bordes.

In a political climate that often feels deeply polarized, Mike stands out as a reasonable public servant focused on delivering tangible results. This is underscored by the high-profile endorsement of Gov. Kelly Ayotte. Gov. Ayotte’s backing is a powerful testament to Mike's pragmatic approach and his ability to work effectively alongside the governor's office to protect the New Hampshire Advantage. Mike has consistently demonstrated that he prioritizes collaborative solutions to move our community forward.

Furthermore, voters should look closely at the experience level on the ballot. Mike Bordes is the only candidate in this race with any state government experience. He has served our community in the New Hampshire House of Representatives since 2020, actively working on critical issues like public safety, infrastructure, and fiscal responsibility. This unmatched state-level track record — combined with his local perspective as the mayor of Laconia — means he does not require a learning curve. He understands exactly how to cut through state bureaucracy to advocate for our district from day one.

We need an effective, collaborative leader in Concord who knows the state legislative process inside and out. Please join me in voting to reelect Mike Bordes for state representative on Nov. 3.
