Catherine M. Tokarz: Vote Kamala Harris, Joyce Craig to protect reproductive freedom

All issues are local issues, so as per The Laconia Daily Sun's parameters for submission of my letter, this one fits the bill. Girls and women of Republicans, Democrats, and undeclared could face an unwanted pregnancy through incest, rape or by not having access, nor using or misusing birth control products by themselves or the men who have sexual relations with them. Some of them will have miscarriages and will need medical assistance in making sure they will have the medication that will help them recover. If my own mother lived in a Donald Trump abortion ban state, she would have been arrested after giving birth to my brother after only seven months along in her pregnancy. His lungs were not developed enough to survive nor had the modern, sophisticated machines been available to help him until he became able to breathe on his own. Remember, when readers go into the voting booth on Tuesday, their vote is private. Several of my Republican friends, male and female, have said they will vote for their daughters, granddaughters and nieces' safety and will pick their battles with their families by telling them what they want to hear. They know New Hampshire is not secure for taking care of their children if Trump and Kelly Ayotte are elected based on what these two candidates have declared in their own words. These Republicans, Democrats and undeclared will mark their ballots for Kamala Harris, Tim Walz and Joyce Craig. It's that important to them.
