To The Daily Sun,

“Democratic lawmakers come to Walz’s defense after DOJ subpoena” was The Hill headline on Jan. 18 (tinyurl.com/y8k4jrzk). It lists current lawmakers Amy Klobuchar, Betty McCollum, Angie Craig, Chuck Schumer, Elizabeth Warren, Mark Kelly and Chris Murphy supporting Governor Walz and Mayor Frey for inciting riots against ICE agents.

Didn’t all of these lawmakers support the impeachment of Donald Trump for “allegedly” inciting the Jan. 6 riot? I say allegedly because the Jan. 6 committee disbanded after the 2022 midterm-election when Democrats lost the House of Representatives. Until that time anyone relying on MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, etc. didn’t hear Donald Trump say during his speech before the riot, "I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard." Nor did they hear Trump after the riot telling his supporters "You have to go home now. We have to have peace. We have to have law and order."

Did Walz and Frey call for peaceful protests before the ICE riots began? Have they told the rioters to go home now? This is a repeat of the George Floyd riots in 2020. And yes, Mayor Frey and Governor Walz were in office then, stoking the flames of racism and social justice. They supported the rioters as Minneapolis burned. Does it scare anyone that Gov. Walz was the VP candidate for Democrats in 2024?

In my opinion, the reason the above Democratic lawmakers support what is an insurrection against the federal government, is to fester hate for President Trump. After four years of President Biden’s failures, Democrats know the only path to retaking the House and Senate is to convince voters President Trump is a threat to Democracy. Propaganda works on the weak-minded and they know it. Don’t be fooled.
