By championing and implementing New England’s very first downtown social district, Mayor Bordes has successfully injected new life into the local economy. The initiative has successfully boosted weekend foot traffic for downtown businesses with zero reported issues, proving that forward-thinking economic policies can safely drive local commerce.

Furthermore, Mayor Bordes has refused to kick the can down the road on Laconia's toughest challenges. He campaigned on managing unauthorized encampments and acted immediately by establishing a specialized city subcommittee dedicated to homelessness. This ensures Laconia is actively developing balanced, structured policies that protect public spaces while pursuing real community solutions.

From his strong backing of the Laconia State School redevelopment — which promises to bring vital housing, retail, and millions in net tax revenue to our city — to his strict adherence to the municipal tax cap, Mayor Bordes is consistently protecting taxpayers while growing our economy.
