To the editor,

I heard the new Hosmer ad on WEMJ, and couldn’t believe my ears. He actually accuses his “opponent” of wanting to do away with Social Security and Medicare. The hubris of this man, to intentionally distort the truth of sincere efforts to reduce expenses while still seeking to provide care for those who have definitely paid their dues, Hosmer reveals just the type of “leader” he would be for District 4.

And now the State Democratic party is putting up yard signs reading “No Income Tax, Defeat Forsythe.” Get your facts straight, Forsythe Signed the Pledge – Hosmer has YET to sign it.

And Mr. St. Clair — Mr. “I don’t care about pledges,” (Laconia Daily Sun, Saturday, October 23) — maybe when you sign a pledge it isn’t worth the paper it is written on, but some people take their pledges seriously, one in particular comes to mind, “…we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor” (Declaration of Independence). When men of integrity step forward and give their Word of Honor, we citizens have a duty to support them in THEIR fight for OUR cause. But if you want double-speak and distortion to represent you keep voting liberal (laws don’t apply to me, but apply doubly to you) politicians into offices that will play fast and loose with your money. As for me and my house, we will support a statesman who understands work ethics, lower taxes, limited government and personal freedom. I’m voting for Jim Forsythe.
