To the editor,

I would estimate that only one-fourth of the residents here at Gilford Knoll II came from Gilford. Are we doing this for other towns and states? That is not the issue on Article 33. The issue is the location.

The main issue here is that the site is not suitable and large enough for a another 24 units next to Gilford Knolls II The land is steep in places and has 30-percent wetlands and a brook. Just come and take a look. To date, only one Selectman has looked at it. There would be too much density of low-income housing. It would be too congested right next to Gilford Village Knolls II, the new library and the addition to the church with the new gym. The land would be better suited for a single-family home.

At Gilford Village Knolls II there is also a water supply issue. Some of us here at Gilford Knolls II are against another development so close to us, but are afraid to speak out.

It will also take out the bears, turkeys, deers and the foxes that inhabit the area.
