To the Daily Sun,
The mission in this letter is to get my name out there. I am running for an open seat on the Gilford School Board. When I entered my name I thought I was all set. However, an oversight in my voting registration left me as an unregistered voter. This has since then resolved. Unfortunately, it requires that I be a write-in on the ballot.
Education and community service are a priority to me in which I hope to instill in my own children as they grow. I have served on the Gilford District PTA for four wonderful years now, starting right off as the president for two years and continuing on as the treasurer for two more years. While I love making a difference with the help of the ladies in the PTA, I am hoping that being on the School Board will make a larger impact in the community that I care about dearly.
Being the mother of three and having a full-time job, my time is valuable and I would not commit to something that I could not see through. I am stepping out of the PTA and hopefully stepping into a new adventure on the School Board. I care about my community and my school district and am proud to say that my children go to Gilford. I want to continue to say that. So, I am asking my fellow Gilford residents to write my name on the ballot so that I can help make a difference in the schools.
