I’m sure police are waiting for Mr. Veverka’s antidote to racism

To The Daily Sun,

While recovering from the throes of my cognitive dissonance, I just finished reading James Vererka's latest statistical journey. Wow, a link to the Huffington Post. Always fun to hear from the looney left.

But on to other things. James questions my comprehension level, which is actually quite good compared to his. He mocks my question regarding how businesses hire employees, but offers no rebuttal because there is none. And he didn't answer my question regarding ever owning a business. Wonder why.

On to racism, his favorite topic. He states almost his entire last letter was about the inherent racism in sentencing in the judicial system, not police misconduct. So according to James's logic, all judges are racists because sentence lengths vary. I'm sure they'll be happy to hear that. Moving on, after you get by the juvenile name-calling, if you slogged your way through to the end (very painful), he quotes "The Guardian" (a self-professed liberal organization) as saying "black males aged 15-34 were nine times more likely than other Americans to be killed by law enforcement." So why do you suppose that is? Can't be the people. Must be racism. I guess the "law enforcement" people responsible for this statistic are different than the "law enforcement" people he refers to at the beginning of the letter when he says it's the judicial system, not police misconduct, that's the problem.

Very confusing, but I'm sure James will straighten me out in his next diatribe, you know, since I'm "wet behind the ears." Also, I'm sure police departments nationwide are waiting breathlessly for an explanation of their "deep" problems and how to solve them. But being a "problem identifier," which James appears good at, is much easier than being a "problem solver," which doesn't appear to be his strong suit.
