To The Daily Sun,
With more than 8,000 votes, Gilmanton School is in a fierce competition for first place in the Hannaord Helps Schools contest against a much larger district in New York,! We had a strong lead with a huge community following until the nasty wind storm knocked power and WiFi to most of our community a few weeks back. Since then, we keep bouncing back and forth from first and second place ... sometimes handfuls of times in a day! We are in the process of designing an outdoor classroom space for our overcrowded K-8 school and would love to incorporate the $5,000 table and garden prize into it! If you know anything about Gilmanton, you know that our town is quite divided over some things, but we have really rallied to win this contest! Check out our two (remember how I said divided) community pages on Facebook, you’ll see the excitement on our posts! Please consider helping us: N.H. vs. N.Y.! Vote DAILY through Tuesday at https://www.terracycle.com/en-US/contests/helpschools
