To The Daily Sun,
Russ Wiles wrote that Alan Vervaeke sounds "like a mouthpiece for American progressives, parroting their totalitarian vision," and that he envisions himself "as a part of the progressive thought police." Totalitarian vision and thought police? That's bloody hysterical! God, that's just plain stupid! Russ is a crybaby because If you attack his ideas, you are intolerant and narrowminded, yet he is always attacking other ideas and pushing ridiculous lies and smears (Obama the Muslim, Obama the Kenyan, etc.) and saying dumb things like progressives are totalitarian. He hates to be criticized because he wants you to think he is the font of wisdom and that he above all is the logical, educated thinker in the crowd. People like Russ Wiles, Harry Mitchell, Steve Earle, Tony Boutin, Jim McCoole, Jim Mayotte and Don Ewing are completely divorced from the realities of the real world. They preach to the choir. They aren't changing any minds on any policy issues. Their policies, economics, "science" and religion are sinking into the oblivion of irrelevance.
Firstly, climate change science. Only 30 percent (Yale) believe humanity isn't causing climate change. No matter how many junk science rants they go on, game over. The report also noted, "By a large margin, Americans say that schools should teach children about the causes, consequences, and potential solutions to global warming (78 percent agree vs. 21 percent who disagree)".
On Planned Parenthood, only 31 percent (Quinnipiac) support cutting funding and only 17 percent (Gallup) think abortion should be illegal under all circumstances — no matter how many times Harry Mitchell has a spastic fit of "you're a murderer."
On repealing Obamacare, only 17 percent (Quinnipiac) want total repeal while the rest want to leave it alone or use a scalpel to improve it. Improving it would be easiest done by moving it towards the Swiss model (not single-payer) which allows open competition under strict regulations and mandates which are imposed upon the insurance industry by the government. (Regs and mandates are voted on in public referendum in Switzerland.) Another interesting Quinnipiac statistic is that only 19 percent think health care has gotten worse. Kaiser polling also reports only 19 percent have an unfavorable view of Medicaid. Regarding Trump-care (Don't-Care), I have not seen any polling supporting it over 17 percent since March.
Regarding same-sex marriage, only 32 percent (Pew) oppose it. That is a monumental change from 2001 when 57 percent opposed it. Regarding evolution, only 19 percent (Gallup) believe humans were created in their present form. The rest is divided evenly between God-guided evolution and evolution didn't involve God. Game over.
Another statistic is that only 1 in 10 evangelicals are under 30 and the Southern Baptist Convention has lost a million members in the last 10 years (Baptistnews.com). They lost 200,000 in 2015 alone! Among adults under 30, only 57 percent are Christian and you can bet a lot are progressive (totalitarianism!). The clock is running out for Christianity.
Jim McCoole wrote a real gem last week titled, "New scientific discoveries only mean that man is catching up." He claims atoms have always been here. Nope. Atoms didn't form till 380,000 years after the Big Bang and that was mostly Hydrogen and Helium with traces of Lithium and Beryllium. The rest came from stellar nucleosynthesis and in subsequent supernovae after the first stars formed 200 million years later. He also said DNA has always been with us. Nope. That evolved, too. It appears Jim McCoole needs to catch up.
