To the editor,

I am a new citizen in the great city of Laconia and I would like to share my opinion with you on some possible irregularities in Mr. Obama's trip to the Middle East.

Recently, while watching the CBS News, I was informed that Mr. Obama's campaign is financially healthy, which is an understatement. However, his campaign is using Congressional funds to subsidize his visit to the Middle East. The rationale for this is that Mr. Obama's status as a U. S. senator renders his visit to the Middle East eligible for federal funds.

Technically, this may be true; however, it is in poor taste to expect the ordinary taxpayer (me) to "foot the bill" for a virtual political campaign tour. Frankly, I am appalled.
