A new writer enters the letters to the editor pages, welcome Ben Lassen from Belmont. Ben informs readers that indeed Islam is a religion of peace, just as all religions are based in peace. Really, though, I must have missed something, or perhaps Ben did.

Let's see Ben, did you read any of these Serares, Quran 2:191-193, 2:244, 3:56, 3:151 oh and my favorite:

Quran 4:74 "Let those fight in the way Allah who will sell the life of this world for the other. Whoso fighteth in the way of Allah, be he slain or be he victorious, on him We shell bestow a vast reward. The martyrs of Islam are unlike the early Christians who were led meekly to the slaughter. These Muslims are killed in battle as they attempt to inflict death and destruction for the cause of Allah."

This is said to be one of the favorites of Muslim terrorists too. And just to be clear there is 103 other Serares in the Quran much like this calling for the death penalty for infidels and violations of the Quran. Politically correct or not politically correct has nothing to do with it. It's about the facts and the facts are that 80 percent of all terrorist attacks sense 1990 have been carried out by Muslims for the glory of Allah. Thirty thousand Muslim terrorist attacks world wide from Sept. 11, 2001, until the end of December 2015.

Now on Friday, April 7, the morning news (ABC) says a terrorist drove a hijacked truck into a crowd and into a department store in downtown Stockholm, Sweden. Two dead many injured, (take note Alan) so any bets it wasn't a Muslim?

For those with short memories or who have had their heads buried in the sand let me again remind readers that Islam calls for the death of all gays, suppresses women's rights, is against democracy, free speech, as well as justifying rape, torture, pedophilia among other things. Let me ask, how many good Christians, how many progressive-liberals can with any sense of integrity and honor say they can overlook the ideology that commands or excuses this? If you can you are neither Christian or liberal.
