PORTSMOUTH — First lady Jill Biden, for the second time in as many years, will travel to the city this week to campaign with elected Democrats ahead of the midterm elections, according to the New Hampshire Democratic Party.
Jill Biden’s return to Portsmouth — six months after her husband, President Joe Biden, visited the city to tout the $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure law — will be Saturday, Oct. 29.
The New Hampshire Democratic Party, though not revealing event details, announced Jill Biden will arrive in Portsmouth at 4 p.m. Saturday to stump for Sen. Maggie Hassan and Rep. Chris Pappas, both Democrats up for re-election on Nov. 8. The three will be joined by fellow Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen.
