GILFORD — Three people were transported to the hospital as a precaution following an offset head-on collision on Route 11A that caused one vehicle to roll over and land upside down at 12:52 p.m. yesterday.

Gilford Police Lt. Kristopher Kelley said the vehicles were traveling in opposite directions near Alvah Wilson Road when the collision occurred, potentially caused by a yellow line violation. One vehicle, with a single occupant, had extensive damage to the driver’s side, while the other, carrying the driver and a passenger, came to rest on its roof.

All three occupants of the vehicles were transported to the hospital, Kelley said, adding that their injuries appeared to be minor.
