LACONIA — Halloween is almost here, and if you’re looking to see some of the city’s best Halloween yard displays, look no further.
This carefully curated list — with the spookiest haunts, tricks and treats in mind — takes you for a visit to each of Laconia's three neighborhoods: Downtown, Lakeport and The Weirs.
There, the best neighborhoods and yard displays have been inspected for the most over-the-top decorations known to the City on the Lakes.
While downtown, navigate some of the more popular routes, including Main Street, to see some epic patriotic pumpkin figures. Nearby, one of the best yards in the city — on the corner of Holman Street and Gale Avenue — is immersive, with several different scenes on display.
In Lakeport, a trip down Elm Street will pay off with more than three decorated homes to look for, each one vastly different from one another.
Decorated homes through the Weirs were a bit harder to spot, but a house on White Oaks Road is well worth the trip.
There's some roadwork going on throughout the city — namely, in Lakeport and the Weirs — so use caution on your haunted driving or walking tour.
