Attendees had the opportunity to visit nine houses in the Lakes Region Parade of Homes on Saturday and Sunday. The Lakes Region Builders and Remodelers Association puts the homes on display and sell tickets to raise money to fund the tiny home project at the Huot Career and Technical Center, where students in building trades programs construct a tiny home throughout a school year. The largest home, "Woodbridge," on Veasey Shore Road in Meredith, was designed by the Lakes Region Design Group, with interior design from the Boehm Graham Interior Design, and is 9,195 square feet. The tiny home was the ninth stop on the tour, and did not require a ticket. The 12-foot by 36-foot tiny home, which has 432 square feet, contains one bed and bath, appliances like an electric stove, microwave, and refrigerator, radiant heat and boiler, asphalt architect series roof shingles, and KWP engineered prefinished siding, is for sale for $85,000. While the tiny homes generally are not ready to be sold during the annual event, this year's home generated at least 10 interested buyers.
