Laconia Country Club, established in 1922 and located on Elm Street in Lakeport, is undergoing its first significant renovation in decades. The leadership team is building a new clubhouse, and plan to demolish the old one, creating room for more parking and updating the look of the building. According to an update from General Manager Charlie Wheeler sent to members last week, work is beginning on the interior of the building, ahead of its opening later this year.
