FRANKLIN — A head-on crash with a sports utility vehicle killed a Massachusetts man operating a motorcycle on Route 3-A, near Lake Shore Drive, around 10:13 a.m. Sunday.
Franklin police did not return multiple calls yesterday for more information about the crash that closed down the road for about six hours while officials investigated the crash, which also involved a third vehicle.
The driver, identified in published reports as being from Bedford, Massachusetts, was transported to Franklin Regional Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The driver of one of the other vehicles sustained minor injuries, and there was no report of injuries from the third vehicle.
