The police department has dedicated phone line 279-6182 for the reporting of information about crimes that have occurred or information that would help prevent crime.
"Out hope is that the community will work with the Police Department to solve crimes that have gone without resolution and to help inform us about events that may lead to criminal activity," said Lt. Keith True. "Out goal is to provide a safe and peaceful community for all who live here and for those who visit."
The Crime Line, True said, will allow people to leave helpful information anonymously. He said the line will be checked on a regular basis and the number 279-6182 will be promoted throughout the community via various forms of media.
